History

From medical centre to primary hospital

From Bodgaun Medical Centre (2018) to a co-managed primary hospital.

Under the visionary guidance of founder Alberto Luzzi, Jay Nepal NGO in collaboration with the Italian NGO Senza Confini, and with the invaluable contributions of Jay Nepal's founding members including Bahsudev Neupane, construction committee members, and numerous dedicated volunteers, the hospital has undergone a remarkable transformation. Constructed in 2018 as the Bodgaun Medical Centre by Jay Nepal NGO, this initiative was made possible by the generous land donations from local farmers. By 2023, the facility was partially transferred to the local government to foster a collaborative partnership. Today, this co-management model thrives through shared financial commitment and the formation of two committees, integrating both government representatives and Jay Nepal members.

The Bodgaun Primary Hospital, a one-story building, boasts ten well-equipped rooms. With reliable electricity, efficient water supply, and excellent sanitary facilities, it stands as a model of robust physical infrastructure in the village. As the central hub for health projects in the area, the hospital plays a pivotal role in delivering essential medical services to the community.
