Bodgaun Primary Hospital provides selected major and minor surgical services in the operating theatre, including emergency and elective procedures when the surgical team and equipment are available. Complex cases may be referred to a higher centre after stabilisation.

Appendectomy
Appendicectomy — surgical removal of the appendix, usually for acute appendicitis (inflamed appendix).

Hernia repair
Herniorrhaphy / hernioplasty — surgical repair of inguinal, umbilical, or other abdominal-wall hernias.

Hydrocele surgery
Hydrocelectomy — surgical treatment of hydrocele (fluid collection around the testis).

Implant removal
Orthopaedic implant / hardware removal — taking out plates, screws, or rods after fracture healing when clinically indicated.

Caesarean section
Caesarean delivery (C-section) — surgical birth of the baby through an incision in the abdomen and uterus when medically needed.

Abortion services
Safe abortion care — medical and/or surgical termination of pregnancy (MTOP / STOP) provided according to national guidelines and clinical indication.
